Virtual Birth Collective is an online community of passionate women, dedicated to sharing information and wisdom about how to envision an autonomous, empowering, and transformative birth experience for women and their families. The information we share is based on the belief that birth is a natural, physiological process, and is best experienced when the one giving birth, with the support of a partner, takes charge of all decisions that need to be made. We believe that birth unfolds best when the natural hormones of labor are uninterrupted, when the birth environment is supportive and trusting, and when there is a deep reverence for the birthing person and baby. Whether you are preparing for your first birth or your fifth, whether you are confident or confused, whether you have a specific question or are needing assistance in knowing which questions to even ask, we are here for you.

The ten founders of Virtual Birth Collective are a diverse group of doulas and aspiring independent midwives, who have come together with the shared vision of providing heart-centered support and resources that honor the empirical, the intuitive, and the sacred aspects of birth. We are guided by the undeniable interweaving of science and mystery so clearly reflected in the birth process, and are committed to holding this balance in our heads, hands, hearts and wombs as we serve. We strive for a quality of presence that is never without a sense of wonder and awe of what is a natural and quite remarkable event.
In addition to the resources and support shared collectively, we offer the opportunity to connect with us individually for more personalized prenatal, birth, postpartum, or lactation support, both virtually and in-person.
This is the start of a web, a living tapestry of women with a shared vision, that are here now in full support of us as birthing people and as human beings. So stay tuned!

At the same time, we deeply honor each and every one of your individual journeys and want to encourage you to go within first, to ask your soul, your heart, your womb, what it is that she needs, before diving deep into the material here at hand. While each of our founders have different skills, specialities, and services available, ultimately, we desire to provide you with the support and tools you need to feel confident in your pregnancy, birth and postpartum choices.

To help you find your options for local pregnancy, birth, and postpartum support, we have compiled a directory of doulas and other holistic health practitioners, who offer valuable in-person services.
