The founders of VBC first met under the full moon of April 2020. We came together with the shared goal of serving virtually and building connection between families and local services that encourage physiological, mother-led birth, breastfeeding, and the sacred postpartum. When a new mother is properly cared for during this time of transformation, she and her family are set up for success later in life.
We are a diverse and inclusive group of non-medical birth attendants. We believe that by changing the way we look at birth, we can prevent birth trauma, increase healthy attachment and breastfeeding rates, increase overall health of the birther & baby, and thereby change the world.

What we believe
We believe that you have the power, as well as the right, to birth your baby your way.
Through a self-directed and intuitive search for information and support, you will discover greater alignment and embodiment with your personal truth. It is possible that you are already connected to and are acutely aware of your inner-knowing. We believe it is time—now—to listen deeply. You have the strength to further cultivate the confidence needed to navigate this time in an empowered, beautiful way, from conception to postpartum and beyond.
Birth is a powerful rite of passage and we believe that any birth professional should respect your autonomous decision-making. True informed consent is of utmost importance for the health of the family unit, and the parent-baby duo already has an innate ability to navigate the birthing process together with grace and strength.
We believe that the role of any birth worker is to educate, inspire, witness, and listen, never to take control of your unique experience or to silence your intuition. Above all, we believe that you already have everything you need to bring your baby into the world in a safe, respectful, gentle and honoring way.
How we can support you virtually
We are committed to providing quality information to anyone seeking to go deeper than the pervasive mainstream ideology and learn what pregnancy, birth, and postpartum can look like when respected for the sacred rites of passage that they are. At the same time, we deeply honor each and every one of your individual journeys and want to encourage you to go within first, to ask your soul, your heart, your womb first, what it is that she needs, before diving deep into the material here at hand. While each of our founders have different skills, specialties, and services available, ultimately, we desire to provide you with the support and tools you need to feel confident in your pregnancy, birth and postpartum choices.
