McKenna is the doula and birth educator of Doula of the Valley, located in southeast Colorado. McKenna has always loved every aspect of natural childbirth, and has a passion for serving women. In March of 2019, she birthed her first child at home, attended by a local midwife. This was when she knew she had to be involved in birth in a deeper way. She completed her birth attendant training program, Indie Birth’s “Birth Warrior Project,” in February of 2020, and has served women all throughout Colorado, western Kansas, and New Mexico. She looks forward to reaching women virtually through Virtual Birth Collective, and travelling to serve women in all 50 states. She has assisted women in all stages of their child-bearing journeys, starting with fertility education, all the way through postpartum and family care. She is passionate about teaching and encouraging women to recognize the power within themselves to achieve the pregnancy and birth they want and deserve!

In her time spent outside of birth work, McKenna can be found living the “ranch wife life.” Whether it’s chasing her toddler, working cattle horseback with her husband, or cooking a meal for her family, McKenna knows that God has blessed her abundantly. McKenna is a qualified American Sign Language provider, and believes in direct communication for the Deaf and HoH community.
